Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit stratoventures.llc or write to us, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and shows no ads.

What this policy covers
Only this website. Our products are separate services with their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them: Astroskop and Born to Roam.
When you visit this site
We do not use cookies, tracking scripts, analytics, advertising pixels or third party embeds. Our fonts and images are served from our own server, so loading this site does not make your browser contact Google or anyone else.
Like every web server, ours writes a short technical log for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, your browser's user agent, and the response status and size. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, for example to spot and block abusive traffic. Automated protection on the server can temporarily block an address that sends malicious requests. The logs are rotated daily and deleted after 14 days.
When you write to us
If you email us, we receive your address, your message and anything you attach, and we use them to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your request and to meet our legal obligations, such as keeping business records, and then delete it.
Legal basis
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on:
- our legitimate interest in running a secure website, for server logs (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- taking steps at your request, or our legitimate interest in answering you, for email (Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
Who processes data for us
- Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany: hosting. The server that runs this site is in Falkenstein, Germany.
- Namecheap, Inc., United States: domain registration, DNS and our email mailbox.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles.
International transfers
Stratoventures LLC is a United States company, this site is hosted in Germany and our email provider is based in the United States. Where personal data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards the law requires, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us for access to your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to office@stratoventures.llc and we will answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. The current version is always the one published here.
